Everyone is important. They are different in their own special way. We can help each other in many ways. Yes, we can support each other.

Every person has a very special purpose. We have to be there for each other, always!

Life does get very difficult at times. That’s when we have to be there for God’s purpose.

I can’t walk good at all. But I can love people deeply!

Love Always,

Judy

The Lonely, Sad Boy!

This boy was very lonely. His parents did not give him much love and attention. So he had to play alone by himself most of the time.

He had a brother and a sister. They were older than him. And they also ignored him most of the time.

He wanted to make new friends when he went to the park to play. His parents went with him and watched him play and stayed with him. Still, he tried very hard to be happy.

He was a wonderful boy. A wonderful boy trying to be happy. Trying to have friends. Trying very hard in school to be perfect.

He wanted a wonderful life because he really liked people. Because his parents were not always nice to him, he became interested in the people he met in his town.

But eventually, the little boy prayed and somehow found Jesus. Who walked with him and became his very dear close friend for the rest of his life.

The Two Great Sicilian Earthquakes?

Santo and Catherine Merlino Barbera’s wedding photograph. Ah the joy and bliss of that wedding day is truly overwhelming as can be seen in this photo!

This photograph was taken shortly before the 1908 Great Messina Earthquake which occurred on 28 December. It had a 7.1 moment magnitude.

Messina and Reggio Calabria, Southern Italy were almost completely destroyed and an estimated 75,000 to 200,000 lives were lost.

My grandparents then migrated to America shortly after the earthquake.

I’ve always had one question in my mind about the wedding.

Did the earth also shake on their wedding night?

Well, it must have cause I’m here!

Apart From the Madding Crowd

Amy,

Albert Einstein said over and over again that imagination and creativity are more important than knowledge.  Knowledge is bounded by what we know or think we know.  Imagination has no such limitations!  It is boundless!

You are a perfect example to prove his point.  Your imagination, creativity and cheerful attitude set you apart from ‘the madding crowd.’ They make you the real success that you are!

Material wealth does not seem to make people happy or content!  It may just do the opposite: only leading to greed and an unquenchable desire for even more.

It is easier the love a cheerful dog than to love the heartless dogs we are often forced to deal with and work for!

Yes!  People should count their blessings not their pennies!

All’s fine on the home front!

Insanity aside!

Love,

Dad
