Yes!
Dopamine, the “happy hormone,” is responsible for our experiencing happiness. Even so-called adrenaline rushes, such as those experienced when playing sport, are based on the same pattern. Adrenaline is a close relative of dopamine. However, serious health problems can arise if too little or too much dopamine is being produced. If too few dopamine molecules are released, Parkinson’s disease can develop, while an excess can lead to mania, hallucinations and schizophrenia.
However, having too much dopamine or too much dopamine concentrated in some parts of the brain and not enough in other parts – is linked to being more competitive, aggressive and having poor impulse control. It can lead to conditions that include ADHD, binge eating, addiction and gambling.
Moderation may be needed and is now my goal!

I was stationed at RAF Alconbury in the mid 70’s. I understand the British sense of humor.
