“News at 11”

Your Typical Network Doodle News Reader (usually formally a Weather Reader):

“News at 11

An expression of total non-surprise at the revelation of something that is supposedly new and/or exciting, but is actually old hat. Often used in a sarcastic context.

Person A: “A new report just released says that the sky is blue.”

Person B: “News at 11.”

My Forecast?

Just a 50-50 chance of showers!

I once was a former USAF Weather Observer that became a Weather Forecaster!

Taegu (now Daegu) Korean Air Base, South Korea, circa 1969.

There were rats that ran amuck in the Weather Station, day and night!

A fan of Steinbeck and Poe and that damn Raven! Do you know that Poe only made about $9 from his book, The Raven?

He should have written a poem, “Quoth the Poor Church Mouse!”
