Maybe Just Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics!

Figures often beguile me, particularly when I have the arranging of them myself; in which case the remark attributed to Disraeli would often apply with justice and force:

“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics.”

To which I add, maybe, even the media in general: worldview and politics aside, this side, that side, or suicide.

      1. Well … He was taken off suicide watch; the camera facing his cell didn’t work; and the guards didn’t check his cell for two hours when they should have checked every 20 minutes. That’s apparent suicide for sure!
