Are you going to ‘rag on’ the American Health Care System again!?
Of course!
It’s so much needed fun.
Yes!
After decades of arrogant
‘god-like complex’ doctor
misdiagnosis complexities!
Just give me drugs
please spare my
kidneys and liver
an expensive test
or a procedure
for sure attitudes.
Treat the symptoms
the hell with a cure
no wealth in your health
and
may I add
much
much more
Tutti Frutti platitudes!
Well!
I’ve finally found my basic cure!
The mind is the best doctor!
Lifestyle, especially what you eat, at the top for me as a cure.
That is unless you
have a virus
bacteria infection
fungal condition
stubbed your toe
walked into a window
in need of an operation
some physical therapy.
Or! May I add
on your way
to the hospital
on a comfy stretcher
with the ambulance driver
pushing the gas petal
to the floor!
Me!?
Down to one doctor
occasionally visited.
Dropped all my meds
except for two
at half the prescribed dosage
every other day!
I’m healthy evermore?
Yes! “I’m free at last”
sans gas
and
finally
off my ass.
Walking
talking
stalking
searching
for Nature’s cure!
Yes, again!
The AMA slogan “First, do no harm!?”
Well!
I have sounded
my sorry personal alarm!
Know thy self
guard your wealth
research
trust
and verify!
Tis ……
what you
eat
drink
think
do
stink
that
can help
for
Diana Shore!
No!
Son of a Beach
surely
sure!
So!
Finally!
Shot my wad
and
will hopefully
never trod
this weedy path.
Quoth
That Raving Raven ……
Edgar Allen Poe “Stark Naked!
For Evermore!
I live in Canada and for the life of me I cannot understand how the wealthiest nation in the world have people who cannot afford to see their family doctor.
Or cannot afford insulin because of the price is out of their reach!
They have to choose between medication, rent, or food.
Sorry, I just cannot comprehend how that is even acceptable.

So true!
Because the FDA, AMA, hospitals and doctors are beholden to big Pharma and such! And politicians get their cut to hold back legislation that could help!

What’s happening her is outrageous. I worked for over thirty years before having to take early retirement/disability and I’ve been uninsured for five years. My former employer pays 70% of the healthcare plan they make available, but my I would still have to pay over $900 a month for coverage for my husband and myself.

I just am mortified by your situation.
Every story almost angers me.
Wouldn’t calling your elected officials move the ball down the court?
I really truly feel sorry for you and others going through the same situation,
Again, I just don’t understand why?

I tried talking to my state representative and it did no good. It’s all about power, corruption, and greed.

Yes! It is the perfect storm for greed and incompetence!

my son and I – I guess – are lucky bc we have medical assistance. With my cancer history, my premiums would be outrageous!!! Even still, we don’t go to docs unless we have to and try and find alternatives
🙂

Yes. Alternative healing methods and such…traditional Chinese medicine…not just treating the symptoms!

NHS is a great boon in UK. I so hope it doesn’t get touched by US systems.

I sure hope so! National Health Systems should strive to help and heal not just treat the symptoms with meds.

We, the common people, cannot get away blameless. IMHO, through our need to pass on responsibility to someone else for our health, have put big pharma and the medical establishment in this position. Taking ownership for your health, and applying some common sense, might yet be the best solution.

Agree entirely… it is up to each individual to take some responsibility for his health care and not just give it over entirely to doctors or medical systems which really do not know the unique requirements of each indivisible.

If health care is a right, then we need to put physicians on salary (or draft them into the Public Health Service), end malpractice lawsuits, and nationalize all of the private hospitals, right? To this point, we have treated health care like a business opportunity.
