Now! I’ve never done a formal movie review of anything to include The Godfather trilogy! The story of my life! LOL!
But I accidentally took the time to watch a 2001 Independent Drama/Mystery/Crime Triller called, Brigham City! Made with a puny budget of $900,000 USD.
A movie about Sheriff Wes Clayton who is also a Mormon bishop in a picturesque little Utah town called Brigham. Where no one locks their doors and surely sans whores. One sunny day, he discovers the body of a woman from California, murdered and left by her classic (red car). Wes tries to keep the murder from the people of the town, but soon realizes it could be one of them. He must now solve the murder any way he can, legally or illegally, before it is too late. It is a very gripping movie with all kinds of twists and turns and a very surprising, unexpected ending.
The last 10 minutes or so are, in my opinion, the most emotionally draining of any movie I have ever seen and surely guaranteed to brings tears to your eyes.
That is, unless you are a psychopath, sociopath, stone-cold killer or prime time network TV news anchor!
But what do I really know!? I’m just a Mafia made-man going insane!
